This series is ongoing.

Towards the end of his life, I created pieces mirroring my grandfathers state of mind and physicality. A series of canvas studies based on themes of memory and remembering but specifically the idea of deterioration, fading, withering and residual.

These are the depiction of the processes around memory and forgetting.

Using household materials from my family: emulsion, fabric, photograph on found canvases.

The series continued following his death where I now try to showcase both the universal theme of memory as well as my individual depictions and ideas of memories.
