presented. Unframed and stuck to the wall but made to arch in the middle
about. The enamel image harshly removed from the photograph in Group 7 presented against the wall and made harder to see by arching upwards slightly in the middle. This is ever changing in natural light conditions.

1. Tape print / removal
materials. Tape, printed photograph, oil and water
size. 7.8 x 6.4 cm
presented. Unframed, and stuck to surface with tape, left to hang
about. New method: Tape goes of the photo and then peels the image layer off the paper. Layers of water and oil go onto the image layer, resulting in a piece which looks processed, almost like trash but represents qualities of a sky, clouds, haze
2. Bleached Photograph
materials. Photograph, bleach and masking tape
size. 10 x 6.7 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to surface with masking tape
about. 35mm film photograph printed onto paper, torn and then bleached. Again it feels like a forgotten land- dreamlike.
3. Damaged Photograph
materials. Photograph
size. 10 x 15 cm
presented. This photo has been peeled and scrunched up on one half and left visible on the other. The piece becomes structural- the rest of the image is scratched; leaving a group with themes of rubbish, trash, forgotten, purposely destroyed?

1. Damaged Polaroid Photograph
materials. Polaroid Photograph (using SX-70 film) taken on a SX-70 camera
size. 9 x 8.7 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to wall
about. Damaged Polaroid photo with white protective frame layers removed, revealing the developing layers. Year originally taken is unknown but when taken was left to develop in a box- therefore it's accidentally under exposed.
2. Collage Piece
materials. Folded lined paper, square paper, scratched film strip small acetate print and masking tape
size. 17.1 x 11 cm
presented. Unframed, both pinned and stuck to surface
about. Collage piece made around themes of forgetting and the need to remember. Folded lined paper with layers of writing on that's been rubbed out, but it still visible. Behind this are layers of squared paper and a piece of 16mm found footage that has been scratched and marked. On the front of this sits a small acetate print of a cloudscape- stuck to the paper with masking tape. The piece is a 'file' of someones material they need to remember.
3. Photograph
materials. Disposable camera photograph, masking tape
size. 15 x 10 cm
presented. Stuck to surface with masking tape
about. Black and white, disposable camera photograph (taken on Ilford Single use Camera XP2 C41). The photo was kept in my pocket and folded into my wallet for weeks. Resulting in areas to rub and become damaged. Gives me a sense of desperation. Maybe this is a scene close to me or someone? Therefore to what extent will I or someone try to hold onto a memory?

1. Damaged 35mm Slide
materials. 35mm Film slide
size. 10 x 5 cm
presented. Unframed, layers opened and stuck to wall
about. Damaged family owned 35mm film slide. The cardboard framing layer has been opened revealing the glue layers. The small film frame sits in the middle and is slightly illuminated showing the image slightly
2. Masking Tape
size. 13.6 x 2.5 cm
presented. Stuck directly to the surface
about. Masking tape layer is behind the damaged 35mm film frame, and is therefore visible below and at the top of the frame. Shows contextual ideas of reliability, structure, family
3. Damaged Polaroid Photograph (Emulsion Layer)
materials. 30 year old Polaroid (taken using SX-70)
size. 8.7 x 8.3 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to surface
about. The original photograph was from a family collection of Polaroids, this one was damaged and therefore was chosen for process. The white protective layers of the photo were removed and the bottom was trimmed. The image layer was then removed off (used for another group), leaving a film with dried Polaroid emulsion layers on. The pale colours feel calm contrasted against the somewhat brutal process of making this
4. Photograph
materials. Disposable camera photograph
size. 15 x 10 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to surface
about. Black and white, disposable camera photograph (taken on Ilford Single use Camera XP2 C41). A somewhat abstract image which seems calm and whole against the two damaged yet beautiful pieces in the group

1. Cloudscape
materials. Cloudscape photograph printed onto Tracing paper, tape
size. 13.1 x 8.8 cm
presented. Stuck to surface (glass) with tape, left to hang
about. Cloudscape photograph printed on tracing paper. Sticking this onto back lit surface illuminates the piece and makes it feel like part of the environment behind it. Layering this over the damaged Polaroid adds a balance of colour and tone.
2. Damaged Polaroid Photograph (Image Layer)
materials. 30 year old Polaroid (taken using SX-70)
size. 10.5 x 8.6 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to surface (glass)
about. Top layer of SX-70 Polaroid where the exposed image sits. This has been removed from the layers of the photo (other has been used in Group 15). The image here is dry and cracked, sitting behind the tracing paper but still feels like a Polaroid in a sense. As light changes outside, the image and colour changes with it resulting in a variety of combinations of image.
3. Damaged Fencolor Colour Transparency
materials. 127 film slide (Fencolor)
size. 7 x 7 cm
presented. Unframed and stuck to surface
about. 127 film slide which has had the emulsion scratched and damaged. The films exposed image is naturally purple, but the removed emulsion reveals blue tones as well as clear plastic. The piece feels cold and forceful.
4. Damaged 35mm film slide
materials. 35mm film slide
size. 10 x 5cm
presented. Unframed, layers opened and stuck to surface
about. Cardboard has been unfolded and instead of revealing the glue and cardboard layers (like in group 15), the branding and notes from the person who wrote on the slide is shown. this feels more poignant, and meaningful. The image illuminated in the slide here also feels calm in comparison to the other two damaged pieces here- similar to the cloudscape in this group.
